Kubicka Sonatina for Flute & Piano

The flute sonatina by Miroslav Kubicka (b.1951), written during his studies, has preserved its youthful vitality and continues to be part of the repertory of flutists. 

The motto included in the title of the composition, a quotation from Vergilius's Bucolics of the merrily whistling shepherd, predetermines the vigour and the brilliance of the whole three-movement composition.
