Kabelac Short Piano Pieces

The third title in the Collected Critical Edition of the works of Miloslav Kabeláč (1908-1979) is Small Compositions for Piano.  

This loose series of seven piano compositions created by their composer, one of the most interesting figures of Czech musical culture in the second half of the 20th century, between 1946 and 1961, is now in print for the first time.  The title chosen for this edition by its editor, Zdeněk Nouza, points to the not too demanding nature of the works, which are typical of the author's style in their sophisticated structure, which, however, goes hand in hand with the necessary amount of likability.  Thanks to this rare combination, it could therefore become a welcome contribution to the list of pedagogical literature for piano.
