In the baroque era, it was common practice to arrange instrumental concertos for the organ.  Johann Sebastian Bach’s arrangements of Vivaldi’s concertos are a familiar and typical example. 

This collection of six selected arrangements by Johann Gottfried Walther (1684-1748) is a response to the demand for festive organ concertos.
