The Prince-Bishop of Olomouc's grand palace in the Italian Renaissance style, in Kromeriz, Moravia, employed a large group of musicians from throughout Europe to play at court and in churches. In the 1650s the job of directing this group of musicians fell to Pavel Josef Vejvanovsky who is represented in this collection of Intradas for Brass ensemble.
