Fibich Idyll Op.16 (Clarinet/Violin & Piano)
Zdenek Fibich (1850-1900), together with Bedrich Smetana and Antonín Dvorák, is one of the most distinctive composers of the Czech musical Romanticism of the second half of the 19th century. He wrote chamber works, symphonies, operas and melodramas as well as liturgical music and a large number of piano works. The melancholic Idyll was composed in 1879 when Fibich was 28-29 years old.
