Tichy Exklamace (Exclamation) for Cello Solo

The composition Exclamation was written in the spring of 2005.  It was composed as a compulsory composition for the 58th International Music Competition Prague Spring 2006 - cello section.

The title itself indicates the basic expressive level of the work - the word of Latin origin, exclamation, means a cry, an emotionally excited exclamation.  Compositionally, the piece is designed as a three-part whole flowing without a break in a single stream.  Each of the parts, although completely autonomous in expression and contrasting with the others, in a way presents the idea of an exclamation.

In terms of the expressive relationships between the individual parts, the position of the structural centre of gravity of the piece and the tempo, a variety of interpretative solutions can be assumed - the part allows for several interpretations.
