Classics & Their Contemporaries 1 (Piano)
Selected and revised by Alois Sarauer and Drahomíra Křížková.
For several generations, budding pianists have been introduced to the European classical period through this very album. Experienced teachers have included in a sensitive selection of easy and short pieces for keyboard instruments by both famous and lesser-known composers from the second half of the 18th and early 19th centuries.
In addition to the stellar trio of Viennese classical composers (Haydn - Mozart - Beethoven), the album includes important composers of Czech origin, such as J. L. Dusík or J. K. Vaňhal, but also, for example, the Italian composer M. Clementi, who is called "the father of modern piano technique".
